Orchard Youth Mission
The heart and soul of why The Orchard Youth Ministry exists is to cultivate a deeper understanding of Bible text and to begin to build a platform for a solid defense of one’s faith that can be applied in real life circumstances.
At The Orchard Youth we believe the Bible holds all the answer to every question, conundrum, and life circumstance that a young person could face. We ask the Lord to empower our youth to walk boldly in their Christian faith and we fervently provide space for the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself to our young people in both Word and Spirit.
Growing Youth
Growth is a Process
We recognise that youth will come from various stages and walks of life. Youth inevitably begin to ask the pertinent question – “Why?” We welcome all youth to experience the God who created the heavens, the earth and them. We want to see young souls come to know Christ and then begin discipleship. We aim to see The Orchard Youth:
- Grow in their relationship with God. That they may not just have head knowledge but experience the truth- in Him we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28; Ps. 139:23-24; James 1:22)
- Grow in self-discipline of studying His Word. (Ps. 119:105, Rom. 15:4; Luke 11:28)
- Grow in spiritual maturity of the Christian faith. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; Josh. 1:8; 1 Cor. 3:2)
- Grow in confidence to be ambassadors for Christ. (2 Tim. 1:7; Prov. 30:5; 2Cor. 5:20)
- Grow in the unique gifts the Lord has placed in each one of their lives. (Is. 55:11; 1Peter 4:10-11; 1 Cor. 12:7-11)
- Grow in resilience, Godly dominion, and the understanding of who and Who’s they are. (1Peter 4:19; Gen.1:28; Luke 10:19; Is. 43:1-28).
